lyrics
THE HONOR?
EMPTY I ENTERED IN THIS WORLD
AND BAREFOOT I WILL LEAVE IT
MY LIFE IS MY DEATH
TWO SIMPLE THINGS
THE LIFE I LIVED HERE
WILL DEFINE MY END
HONOR IS NOT EVERYTHING IN THIS LIFE
THE LIFE IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING
EVERYTHING YOU DID
EVERYTHING YOU BUILT
NOTHING WILL CHANGE
BUT KEEP YOU ALIVE
FIND YOUR OWN DESTINY
YOU WILL BE FREE
NO MORE DARKNESS
NOW YOU CAN SEE
MAYBE YOU’RE SO DESPERATE TO SEE
THE STONES THAT HURT YOU ON THE WAY
COULD BE THE BASIS FOR A JUMP
TO START A NEW BEGINNING
OPEN YOUR EYES
YOU MUST GO ON
FIND YOUR OWN DESTINY
YOU WILL BE FREE
NO MORE DARKNESS
NOW YOU CAN SEE

This album is a strange and wonderful brew. Thrashing death metal played with vintage doom guitar tones forms the bedrock of the music. But the real greatness comes from the symphonic and folk elements scattered throughout. I would describe this music as brutal and refreshing, as strange of a combination of words as that may be. A truly great and awesome album this is. Matthew Smith
Horror Metal in the style of Mercyful Fate and King Diamond, but with a much better moral compass for the lyrical content. The vocals are amazingly creepy and the guitar riffs are heavy and melodic. The album is really good, but would have been better if the band had used more keyboards in the songs to increase the atmospheric resonance. That said, I truly love this band and hope they continue making music for many years to come. Matthew Smith
Members of Napalm Death and Benediction swap razed-earth grind for old-school heavy metal, with screeching vocals and soaring riffs aplenty. Bandcamp New & Notable May 27, 2020
